Here you can get a better idea of what a bike lane that is half gutter/curb will look like... bicyclists need 3 feet of room to cycle in -- the gutter is 2.5 feet and the crack between the gutter and the road isn't safe to ride on. Also note the traffic on your left will be heavy and going FAST. Get the picture?
