How does adding a raised median in the middle of Forest Hill Avenue help improve cycling? The answer: it doesn't!

The City's current plan suggests adding a raised median and blocking 25 homes and 3 streets from turning LEFT on Forest Hill Avenue will improve traffic flow. What it actually will do is cause further back-u...ps into neighborhoods and frequent u-turns on Forest Hill Ave. Cyclists heading EAST on US Route 1 can now expect to cross 7 traffic lanes while turning LEFT off Rettig Road onto Forest Hill Ave -- this interchange is large enough to accomidate semi-trucks and buses.
